FREE TOOL · CLAUDE COWORK

Your workspace, explained to Claude

Claude Cowork reads a CLAUDE.md file at the root of a workspace before it does anything else. Written well, that one file is the difference between an assistant that guesses and one that already knows how you work. This tool asks the questions and writes the file for you.

The generator itself is in Portuguese. The file it produces is plain markdown, so you can write your answers in English and it will come out in English.

How it works

Answer what fits

Nothing is required. Anything you leave blank is simply left out of the file — no empty headings, no filler.

Be concrete

"No exclamation marks in client documents" teaches far more than "professional tone". The same goes for folders, file names and workflow steps.

Generate and drop it in

Copy the result or download it as CLAUDE.md, then place it at the root of your Cowork workspace.

Then let it go

This is a starting point, not a control panel. From there the file is edited where it lives — by you, or by Cowork itself during a session.

What the brief covers

  • — Mission of the workspace and what is out of scope
  • — Who you are, the company, the market and the typical client
  • — Glossary, active projects and the people involved
  • — Folder structure, sources of truth and available tools
  • — Deliverables, formats and templates
  • — Voice, register and what to avoid in writing
  • — Recurring workflows and routines
  • — Autonomy, confirmations and hard limits
  • — Quality bar and the mistakes to eliminate

Where it runs

  • — Entirely in your browser. There is no server and no upload.
  • — A draft is kept on your own machine so you do not lose work halfway.
  • — The output is plain markdown: no hidden metadata, no lock-in.
  • — It is one-way by design. Come back to start a new file, not to update one that Cowork has since learned from.

Want the workspace set up properly?

The generator gets the first file right. Deciding what to delegate, where the data lives and where a human still has to sign off is the part that takes a conversation.
